Features: To meet the needs of the development of China's metallurgical industry, we have compiled this "English-Chinese Dictionary of Metallurgical Industry." This "Dictionary" is based on the three previously published parts by our press: "English-Chinese Dictionary of Metallurgical Industry" (Non-ferrous Metallurgy Part), (Iron and Steel Metallurgy Part), and (Metal Materials Part), which have been further revised and supplemented. It collects over 100,000 entries. The specialized fields covered include sintering, agglomeration, coking, refractory materials, ironmaking, steelmaking, non-ferrous metal smelting, powder metallurgy, semiconductor materials, metal pressure processing, metallographic heat treatment, casting, welding, machinery, electrical automation, metallurgical construction, transportation, environmental protection, safety technology, labor protection, enterprise economy and management, and computer science. Terms related to geology, mining surveying, mining, and mineral processing are included in the separately published "English-Chinese Dictionary of Metal Mining" by our press. The appendices of this "Dictionary" list "Common English Abbreviations" (Appendix I), "Conversion of Common Measurement Units" (Appendix II), and "Periodic Table of Chemical Elements" (Appendix III).
