Features: This book is based on the review of over 2,000 major works of traditional Chinese medicine throughout history. From these, more than 300 works, including case study (monographs), medical literature of various specialties, and comprehensive medical texts, were selected to compile 2,116 case studies. Among them, there are 893 cases of internal medicine, 243 cases of gynecology and obstetrics, 277 cases of pediatrics, 423 cases of surgery, and 280 cases of ophthalmology and otolaryngology. These cases have been categorized, punctuated, and annotated. It is the third collection of traditional Chinese medicine literature following 《Selected Works of Traditional Chinese Medicine Medical Arguments Throughout History》 and 《Selected Works of Traditional Chinese Medicine Medical Conversations Throughout History》. The entire book includes 202 common and frequently-occurring diseases (syndromes) across various specialties. The selected case studies are required to be complete in terms of theory, method, prescription, and medication, with relatively complex conditions, significant therapeutic effects, and the ability to reflect the characteristics of each specialty. They hold guiding significance for clinical practice, reference value for teaching and research, and truly benefit in broadening the thinking of medical practitioners. These contents are invaluable for academic exchanges and inspiring future generations.
