Features: Founded in 1928, Qidong High School in Jiangsu Province is one of the first national model high schools and the first batch of four-star schools in Jiangsu Province. After nearly eighty years of, it has become a first-class modern school in China with a certain international influence, and its name has spread across the country. Our school currently has 99 teaching classes and over 5,600 students. It boasts a strong faculty, including 1 Ph.D., 24 master's degree holders, 3 provincial young and middle-aged experts, nearly 100 senior and advanced-level teachers, as well as a large number of provincial and municipal subject leaders and core teachers. The school is equipped with first-class laboratories, libraries, gymnasiums, art halls, observatories, science museums, and multimedia and distance education networks. It has undertaken 10 national and provincial teaching and research projects and has continuously strengthened inter-provincial and international exchanges and cooperation, establishing 4 branch schools in recent years. For many years, the school has adhered to the educational philosophy of "developing individual strengths, promoting comprehensive development, and laying a foundation for students' lifelong growth," achieving remarkable results. This time, we have carefully revised the previous edition of the "Qidong High School Homework Series." During the revision, we followed the new "Teaching Syllabus," "Exam Guidelines," and "Curriculum Standards" and incorporated innovative design in the format, including sub-sections such as [Preview Homework], [Classroom Homework], [Extracurricular Homework], and [Innovative Homework]. We also made bold innovations in the creation of homework questions, reflecting a fresh, contemporary atmosphere. The questions focus on new themes, content structures, creative scenarios, diverse question formats, and open-ended exploration, striving to align with the new trends of curriculum reform, teaching reform, and examination reform, making them more suitable for regions, schools, and students of different levels. They not only reinforce foundational knowledge but also enhance learning and exam-taking skills. During the revision, we fully emphasized the following guiding principles and features:
1. Layered and Progressive Question Structure: The questions are designed to cater to the teaching realities of underdeveloped regions in central and western China and the varying needs of teachers and students regarding "questions." Each question is labeled with hollow letters "a, b, c" at the beginning to indicate its approximate difficulty level, facilitating differentiated instruction and improving the efficiency of the homework series.
2. Practical and Effective Time-Block Design: The distinctive feature of this series is its design based on teaching time blocks, ensuring synchronization with subject instruction, practicality, and effectiveness, with strong operability. It integrates thinking into practice, focusing on solving the key issues of "what to practice" and "how to practice" for each time block.
3. Detailed and Standardized Explanations: The answers are thoroughly analyzed and explained, highlighting key knowledge points and basic methods while providing insights into problem-solving techniques. This addresses both "how to solve" and "how to think about solving" the problems, making it suitable for a wide range of users. Additionally, each homework assignment specifies the time limit and scoring criteria, allowing students to work independently and improve their practice quality more effectively.
4. Innovative and Extraordinary Educational Philosophy: The revision fully reflects the requirements of the new teaching and curriculum reforms, embodying the teaching philosophy and educational concepts of the new curriculum. It showcases extraordinary thinking. The selection of questions follows the principle of combining "originality and classics," with a focus on developing and researching "ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive" questions. Each subject workbook includes a certain number of newly created original questions by the authors.
From the perspective of the exam syllabus, key points, and question trends ("three exams"), this series of "Qidong High School Homework Series" provides targeted guidance and analysis of problem-solving methods and techniques, making it an excellent supplementary material for students in junior and senior high school to practice and prepare for exams.
