Features: During the bilingual (English and Chinese) teaching process of human anatomy, students generally reported spending a significant amount of time each day searching for relevant anatomical professional vocabulary. Moreover, many anatomical professional terms are difficult to find in ordinary dictionaries, while professional medical dictionaries are both expensive and bulky, making purchase and consultation challenging. An English-Chinese Common Vocabulary of Human Anatomy is based on the authors' self-edited Core Vocabulary of English-Chinese Human Anatomy and includes more detailed common anatomical professional terms from The Textbook of Human Anatomy, along with a small number of related medical terms. It is marked with international phonetic symbols and accompanied by corresponding Chinese translations. The book contains approximately 3,500 entries and 6,500–7,000 words, divided into two parts (Part I and Part II).
Part I arranges the vocabulary in the order of chapters they appear in the textbook, with terms within each chapter further organized alphabetically. Readers can use the vocabulary corresponding to the chapter they are studying while reading the textbook. This part can also serve as pre-class preparation material for students.
Part II lists all the vocabulary in alphabetical order, making it convenient for readers to look up terms from other chapters while studying a specific chapter of the textbook.
