Features: This book was written as a teaching material for the "Fluid Transport and Distribution Networks" course in the major of Building Environment and Equipment Engineering, under the organization and guidance of the Professional Guidance Committee for Building Environment and Equipment Engineering. It is a national-level planning textbook for general higher education under the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan." The book systematically elaborates on the fundamental principles and engineering calculation and analysis methods of various fluid transport and distribution networks used in ventilation and air conditioning, heating and cooling, urban gas, building water supply and drainage, industrial power, and fire protection engineering. During the revision process, the authors summarized teaching experiences and research achievements from both themselves and universities, kept pace with the progress of science, technology, and engineering practice, enriched the content, improved the system, further refined the common principles and engineering analysis methods of various fluid transport and distribution networks, and strengthened the content on the matching and regulation of power sources for the networks. The book is divided into 8 chapters, with the content of each chapter being as follows: Chapter 1: Types and Devices of Fluid Transport and Distribution Networks; Chapters 2 to 4: Hydraulic Characteristics and Calculations of Gas, Liquid, and Multiphase Flow Networks; Chapter 5: Theoretical Basis of Pumps and Fans; Chapter 6: Matching of Pumps, Fans, and Networks; Chapter 7: Hydraulic Condition Analysis and Regulation of Branched Networks; Chapter 8: Hydraulic Calculations and Hydraulic Condition Analysis of Loop Networks. At the end of the book, there is also software for hydraulic calculations and hydraulic condition analysis of loop networks, which is provided for teaching purposes. In addition to serving as a textbook, this book can also be used as a reference for public utility engineers and other related engineering technicians.
