Features: The China Institute of Interior Design (CIID) is the only academic organization for interior design in China. The mission of the institute is to:
- Protect the rights and interests of interior designers,
- Explore the principles of interior design creation,
- Understand the trends of global interior design development,
- Conduct international and domestic academic exchanges,
- Unite the achievements of interior design creators.
China's interior design is moving toward maturity, and Chinese presence is becoming increasingly active on the international stage of interior design. However, we must also acknowledge that there is a gap between our theoretical research in interior design and design practice, which remains relatively weak. To promote theoretical research in Chinese interior design, the executive meeting of the institute's board has decided to begin evaluating annual conference papers starting this year, rewarding outstanding papers with recognition.
