Features: Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin (1799–1837), the great Russian national poet, the founder of modern Russian literature, and the creator of the Russian literary language. He is hailed as the "Father of Russian Literature" and the "Sun of Russian Poetry." This book selects approximately 160 representative lyric poems of various styles by Pushkin, arranged by chapter content and period. The translator has strived to preserve the original spirit, rhythm, form, rhyme, color, style, emotion, atmosphere, and elegance of the poems, aiming for faithfulness and capturing the essence of the original works to recreate their aesthetic beauty in form, sound, meaning, and emotion. This book selects approximately 160 representative lyric poems of various styles by Pushkin, arranged by chapter content and period, primarily translated from the 10-volume "Complete Works of Pushkin" published by the Soviet Academy of Sciences Press in the 1950s and 1960s (Volumes II and III), accompanied by introductions and annotations. Translating poetry is difficult, and translating lyric poems is even more so. Generally speaking, since foreign poetry is being translated, it should retain its foreign flavor. In translating these poems, I have strived to preserve the original order, length, form, rhyme, color, style, emotion, atmosphere, and elegance of the poems, aiming for faithfulness and capturing the essence of the original works to recreate their aesthetic beauty in form, sound, meaning, and emotion.
