Features: Since the 18th century, Guangzhou has been one of China's major ports for foreign trade. Various types of Chinese artworks were sold through Guangzhou to Europe and America. Therefore, the Guangzhou region has actually become the main production and distribution center for exported Chinese artworks. This book collects more than 300 types of exported artworks from the late 18th to early 20th centuries, including blue-and-white porcelain, Canton porcelain, Canton embroidery, ivory carving, and exported paintings, all of which were collected by Guangzhou Museum over the years from around the world. Since a significant portion of these artworks were custom-made based on orders from Europe and America, they not only showcase the exquisite craftsmanship of Chinese art at the time but also reveal the exchange and fusion of Chinese and Western art.
