Features: The Anti-Japanese War in Western Yunnan was one of the earliest strategic counterattacks against Japanese aggressors during China's eight-year resistance, and also a turning point in the Asian theater of the Second World War's anti-Fascist campaign, marking a shift from defeat to victory. In this war, despite the Japanese forces persisting in their brutal policies of burning, killing, and desperate resistance, committing numerous horrific atrocities, the Chinese military and civilians showed unwavering courage, fearlessness, and sacrifice, engaging in relentless struggles against the Japanese, achieving unprecedented glorious accomplishments. Remembering the past is to learn for the future. As the dark and tragic history of the Chinese nation, subjected to humiliation and exploitation, has passed, and China is now stepping into the 21st century with a new visage, it is essential to perpetually commemorate the heroic deeds and spirit of the martyrs who fought against Japan, educate future generations to remember national humiliation, and dedicate themselves to revitalizing China. To this end, we have compiled this collection of anti-war historical materials, primarily featuring photographs supplemented by various texts and charts, aiming to provide an illustrative and reference material for future patriotic education and research.
