Features: Wang Ziping (1881–1973) was a renowned martial artist in China and the former Vice President of the China Wushu Association. He began learning martial arts at the age of six and mastered various styles of kung fu. In terms of weapons like the broadsword, spear, sword, staff, as well as grappling, striking, wrestling, soft skills, hard skills, and lightness techniques, he achieved profound expertise, earning him the title of a "versatile martial artist" in the martial arts community. At the same time, he was also a famous orthopedic expert. In medicine, he combined grappling techniques with bone-setting methods, forming a major of Northern martial arts orthopedics known as the Wang Family Orthopedics. After acquiring a solid foundation in martial arts, one can then practice weapon forms. This book selects three weapon sets created by Wang Ziping. Typically, one starts with the "Four Gates Broadsword," a famous traditional set in the Chaquan style, and then practices the "Green Dragon Sword," which was Wang Ziping's masterpiece, honed through countless refinements. Of course, one may also start with the sword before moving on to the broadsword. Next, one practices the "One-Step Sticky Fist" and "Four-Gathering Hands" of the Chaquan style. At the end of the book, there are two commemorative essays on Wang Ziping, written by his beloved wife, Wang Juru, and Zhao Shuangjin, the former Secretary-General of the China Wushu Association. The essays are deeply heartfelt and moving.
