Features: Contemporary literary criticism faces increasingly arduous tasks in the context of the unprecedented flourishing of literature in China since the new period. A large number of new writers and works await reading and criticism, while many highly renowned writers and their works also require more in-depth theoretical and analytical interpretations. There is a need for more macro-level criticism to scan the current state of literary creation, as well as further development of multi-perspective and multi-methodological approaches to criticism. How to avoid media hype under market economy conditions while upholding the academic stance of academic criticism remains a challenge. Avoiding media hype, maintaining academic criticism's scholarly position, and better applying Marxist worldviews, life philosophies, values, and artistic perspectives in this field, as well as strengthening aesthetic and historical criticism, all require greater efforts from us. This collection includes 47 essays, but it is still evident from them the author's arduous steps and explorations in their academic field. It may hold some reference value for readers and also serves as a motivational force for the author to "review the past to gain new insights."
