Harvesting Weeds -- The Second Collection of Humanistic Book Shadows

Features: Zhi'an is a scholar with strong creative abilities, and his reading scope is very broad. This book collects his comments on foreign novels and films related to them. His meticulous thinking and straightforward writing style reflect his knowledge and cultivation. The book consists of two parts. The first is a collection of notes on reading foreign novels. It was written over the years without a specific plan, so it lacks systematic organization. Some authors he highly regards were not discussed, such as Dostoevsky, Chekhov, Bulgakov, and Calvino; a separate piece should also be written on Kafka. Fortunately, there is plenty of time, and it can be completed later. The second is a comparison of several novels and the films adapted from them, but the focus remains on the novels. Originally, he planned to write a book specifically on this topic, but he started working on it two years ago in the autumn and has not made much progress. It is still not halfway through, and perhaps it is better to stop here. However, even his own affairs are unpredictable, and it is not impossible that he might finish it one day. But for him, reading is the main thing. Whether the article is completed is a gain, and if not, it is no loss either.
