It is the forbidden fruit that is most tempting -- The Second Series of Humanistic Book Shadows

Author: Yu Zhongxian
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2005-01-01
Features: This collection, titled "Forbidden Fruit, Thus Alluring," does not include any articles from the first two volumes. However, to give readers a general understanding of Paris Through the Seasons and Left Bank Fragrances, a slim introduction titled "Paris in Brief" has been specially compiled. The articles in this volume are organized under sections such as "Roaming France," "Paris Literary Figures and Events," "French Literary Translations and Critiques," and "Cultural and Translation Reflections," still focusing on French literature, culture, and translation.
I am someone who works in the introduction, translation, and research of French literature. For half my life, I have had no other skills except for doing this kind of work. This is evident from the fact that my three collections are categorized under "Translator's Perspectives," "Editorial Notes Series," and "Footprints and Shadows Literary Collection," respectively. I also hope that with this small collection, I can take a new starting point and strive to do better in this field in the next life.
