Features: Ancient Chinese porcelain has been renowned worldwide since the Yuan Dynasty, becoming a treasured collection sought after by major museums and private collectors both at home and abroad. The over 100 types of glazes of imperial porcelain from the Qing Dynasty are in fierce competition, dazzling and diverse in form, a feast for the eyes. They are rare gems in the human artistic treasury. Although the number of imperial porcelain pieces from the Qing Dynasty is substantial, to date, apart from the centralized collection in the Qing imperial court, the rest are scattered across the world, with no comprehensive overview available. Nanjing Museum, established after the fall of the Qing Dynasty as a central museum, inherited the imperial collection. From the over 200,000 imperial porcelain pieces in the court collection, they systematically selected more than 400 typical items, meticulously compiling this atlas. Over 1,000 full-color photographs of actual pieces are arranged chronologically, showcasing the perfect combination of decoration and form in imperial porcelain, comprehensively presenting the pinnacle of the development and innovation of glazes in Chinese porcelain. With authoritative appraisals and critiques by experts spanning hundreds of thousands of words, this work provides an incisive interpretation of the artistic techniques of Chinese porcelain at its peak. It is an authoritative reference book for appreciating Qing imperial porcelain, guiding the collection of ancient Chinese porcelain, and inspiring the creation of traditional Chinese art crafts. It is also a densely packed, large-scale reference book with strong retrieval and practical functions.
