Publishing Date: 2003-05-01
Features: This book introduces feature film stories, selecting some internationally acclaimed films from 2001 to 2002 after the new century, as well as various popular films. The main goal is to give readers a general understanding of the current trends in world film creation in terms of themes, styles, and performances, aiming to inspire further discussion. This film is the "Hollywood version" of the Spanish film "Open Your Eyes." Like the original's magical realism style, Cameron Crowe reimagines a dreamlike story filled with eerie allure. The once bustling streets turn into an empty city. David (played by Tom Cruise) drives along, seemingly lost in a deserted place. He abandons his car and runs into the street, with only the large roadside billboards flickering with changing images. In the distance, he hears a woman's soft voice calling out: "Open your eyes, open your eyes."
