Features: The bibliography of music books, Comprehensive Catalogue of Chinese Music Books and Scores, can be considered a model. This book was compiled by the Institute of Music Research, Chinese Academy of Arts, and is a comprehensive index covering a vast time span. Its subtitle is "A Complete Catalogue of Music Books and Scores from Pre-Qin to 1949." In 1960, the Institute of Chinese Music at the Central Conservatory of Music published A Catalogue of Modern Chinese Music Books. Since the completion of this book was relatively long ago, it only includes music books published between 1949 and 1959. It is said that some scholars are committed to continuing this work, but no results have been published yet. Given that the Ministry of Education has issued documents twice, requiring universities and colleges across the country to offer literature retrieval courses, we decided to compile A Comprehensive Catalogue of Chinese Music Literature Retrieval as a teaching reference for music literature retrieval and utilization courses. This book compiles music theory books formally published by national publishing houses, private, joint-stock, and state-private joint venture publishers between 1949 and 1999. The book is divided into five major categories, each further subdivided into several subcategories. Each entry includes four items: 1. The title of the book and its subtitle. 2. The author, compiler, or annotator of the original work and their method of contribution. 3. The publisher. 4. The publication date.
