Features: Regarding the content and genre of this book, it is also an innovation. The content, embodying the "entrepreneurial passion, scientific rationality, innovative inspiration, and collective wisdom" of all colleagues at Shen Newspaper, is presented in a light and concise "New Reporter's Notes." Naturally, this is done with the reader in mind—fully considering readability. The book can be read in one go or slowly savored in segments. The two-character title is already as short as it can get, perfectly suited for the reading habits of the internet era—revealing key themes. To maintain consistency with the entire book, I even used a two-character title for my preface—"Innovation." Abbreviating Shenjiang Service Guide to Shen Newspaper is a typical misreading, which inevitably leads to confusion with the old Shanghai newspaper that was widely read by all citizens. Today's Shenjiang Service Guide is not a revival or copy of the old Shen, but both have inherited the unique style and atmosphere of Haipai media: to some extent, they have become indispensable in the field of urban cultural leisure. Today's Shen Newspaper appears younger and more unconventional, with a dedicated focus, targeting the forefront of Shanghai, China's most modern city: those with or receiving a good cultural education, with refined tastes yet loving worldly life; possessing certain economic consumption power and super imaginative emotions; slightly above the survival line but with a "glimpse higher than life" ethos, as aptly put in an advertising slogan. Its precise positioning and extraordinary approach quickly made it a fashionable flag in today's Shanghai media. Its appeal to young consumers and advertisers, along with its ever-increasing performance, is truly remarkable. As it entered its fifth year, it found that the hardships and storms had been left behind, embraced like a rainbow under the vast sky of its career. The beauty and flavor of this feeling are candidly disclosed in Shen Newspaper: Critical Insights by Xu Jinjiang, one of the four founders of the newspaper, in his new reporter's notes. At a critical time in China's newspaper industry's transition to a market economy, the revelation of Shen Newspaper's secrets and keys in Shen Newspaper: Critical Insights can be seen as an unconventional, authentic, and innovative practical textbook guiding media entrepreneurs. Mr. Jinjiang's transformation from a scholar to a media manager, along with the experiences of his colleagues at Shenjiang Service Guide, offers profound insights for today's cultural media on team integration, talent cohesion, market engagement, pattern exploration, and innovation. The birth of this vivid and empirical media guide in Shanghai is no coincidence, as the interpretation of the 88 key words to the success of Shenjiang Service Guide in the book proves. No one doubts the extraordinary capabilities of this emerging newspaper industry star, nor does anyone criticize its rebellion and transformation of the traditional, stable newspaper style. Instead, people are now deeply interested in and puzzled by the philosophy that drives its miracles, the environment in which it survives and sustains itself, and its potential for further growth. This is crucial for a new generation of media entrepreneurs, leaders, and core teams. As a leader, Shenjiang Service Guide has the responsibility to face these questions head-on, revealing itself to turn success into a public discourse and shared resource, inspiring competition and surpassing among peers. This is a meaningful experiment in the fast lane of entrepreneurship, turning "everyone chasing and competing" into the most stimulating, exciting, and modern ecological landscape in the new Shanghai culture. I once suggested changing the book's title to Shen Newspaper: Views, but it was politely declined, as Ogilvy & Mather: Views already existed. However, the key to Shen Newspaper: Critical Insights lies in presenting one after another fresh, lively, and highly creative views, from which we can feel the emerging rhythm of the new Chinese cultural market and touch the heartbeat of the new generation of reporters.
