Selected Four-Panel Comics by Cai Zhizhong - Bald Detective

Author: Cai Zhizhong
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-04-01
Features: This book was serialized in Ming Pao for about three years. I personally really like the character of the bald detective. So far, in almost every comic book, this character has appeared. For example, in the series "The Hundred Schools of Thought," he is Zhuangzi; in "Fengshen Bang," he is Jiang Ziya; in Zen Buddhism, he is the Yuezhou Monk. It's like the relationship between Akira Kurosawa and Toshiro Mifune, a director and his favorite actor. Kurosawa almost always cast Mifune in his important films, and the bald detective always appears in his important comics because it's easy to capture the essence of a comic character.
