Features: When boredom reaches a certain level, people are bound to go mad. So, one must find something to fill the void left in life, which is utterly empty. Strolling aimlessly in the library, the library of Xiamen University's Xiamen-Zhangzhou campus is said to be one of the university's proudest achievements (and indeed, it makes one feel like sleeping inside). I randomly picked up a book, K236.207/680, "The Floating Clouds of Yulei Changing the Past and Present." A very poetic title. So, I borrowed it to read. But after flipping through it, I discovered another subtitle: "History of Ancient Shu." A bit disappointed, but I still read it. I flipped through it intermittently, and the month-long return period arrived. I'm sure I didn't finish the book. I just skimmed through it. It turns out that the ethnic origins of Ancient Shu can be traced back to before the Yellow Emperor. "The Yellow Emperor lived at Xuanyuan Ridge and married the daughter of Xiling, named Leizu, who gave birth to Xuanqiao and Changyi. Changyi married a daughter of Shushan, named Changpu, and had Gao Yang. After the Yellow Emperor's death, he was buried at Qiaoshan. His grandson, Gao Yang, the son of Changyi, ascended the throne and became Emperor Zhuanxu." So, it seems that all the Five Emperors actually had bloodline from Ancient Shu, and our Chinese civilization has an undeniable mark of Ancient Shu. Further on, the legendary tales of Yuquan and the silkworm from Emperor Wangmíng and the successive Shu kings of later generations are so magical that they inspire longing. That was an era that called for heroes and produced heroes. But unfortunately, after the Qin conquest of Bashu and the subsequent development of Han culture, the splendid Ancient Shu civilization faded away, leaving only the stunningly magnificent treasures of Sanxingdui to leave us in awe. This book is still worth reading. I haven't heard of the author, Yin Yu, and the book itself is a very ordinary historical study. But for the great Ancient Shu civilization and the deep Ancient Shu genes hidden in our blood, it's still worth reading this book. I had to return the book this morning. I'll borrow it again in a few days and finish reading it then.
