Features: Transformation of the Old into the New, Achieved in a Blink. The tremendous changes in Guangzhou over the past decade are undeniable. This is the crystallization of the decisions made by the city's leadership, the crystallization of the sweat of every urban construction worker, and the crystallization of the hard work of Guangzhou's urban planning professionals. The Guangzhou Urban Planning and Design Institute has long been rooted in and served Guangzhou, making outstanding contributions to our urban planning cause. It is an important force and vanguard in Guangzhou's planning team and one of the model windows for urban construction technical service work.
The institute's over 30 employees are primarily young people full of passion and vitality. They possess both the ability to work collaboratively and the capability to handle tasks independently. They have continuously completed high-quality planning and design tasks within short periods, serving as a vital technical force in our planning work and providing strong technical support for the smooth operation of various departments in our bureau. Unknowingly, the institute has already celebrated its tenth anniversary. Over these ten years, it has nurtured a generation of young urban planners, leaving behind ideals and a radiant city today.
With the momentum of the 2010 Asian Games, Guangzhou has seized the historic opportunity to build itself into an international regional metropolis. In the coming years, Guangzhou will leverage the experience of hosting the Asian Games to accelerate urban development and fully create a modern Asian Games city. The tasks facing our planning professionals will become even more challenging, but the future achievements will undoubtedly be even more glorious.
--"The road ahead is long and arduous, but we must step forward anew,"-- we hope that the colleagues of the Guangzhou Urban Planning and Design Institute will continue to strive and create even more beautiful blueprints for our city's future!
