Features: To adapt to the development of urban and rural medical and health services after the reform and opening-up, and to better train practical secondary health technology talents, under the leadership of the Ministry of Health and the guidance of the textbook review committee, we have compiled this dermatology and venereology textbook for use in community medicine and maternal and child health programs. This edition is primarily based on the new teaching syllabus and teaching plan, adhering to the training objectives for practical talents. It aims to cultivate medical personnel with good medical ethics and professionalism, not only equipped with theoretical knowledge of dermatology and venereology, an understanding of the field's developments, but also with the ability and operational skills to prevent and treat skin diseases. To better suit the learning characteristics of secondary school students, this edition includes color illustrations and provides detailed introductions to commonly used preventive and therapeutic drugs, which are more conducive to students' learning and practical abilities. To accommodate the different characteristics of the two programs, maternal and child health professionals must focus on learning infant dermatology, pruritus during pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases. Due to space limitations, genetic skin diseases are covered less extensively. Instructors are advised to make necessary additions or modifications.
