Forensic Anthropology is a newly written book among the ten textbooks for the second round of forensic medicine professional teaching materials. The authors are all forensic anthropological experts in China with practical experience and professional theoretical expertise. During the writing process, the principles of advancement, systematicity, and practicality were followed, and considering the differences among human races, the technical methods and statistical data described in the book are primarily based on domestic sources. The book consists of fifteen chapters and approximately 270,000 words. The first draft was completed in 1996, and the final draft was finalized in the fourth quarter of the following year. The content reflects the important research achievements in the field of forensic anthropology from its formation to the mid-1990s of this century.
