Since the publication of the first edition of Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedics, it has been reprinted 11 times in a row, playing an important role in the teaching of Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedics and promoting the development of the specialty. In the past decade, significant progress has been made in the diagnosis and treatment of fractures and dislocations in Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedics, with a number of national and provincial-level scientific research achievements of theoretical and practical value. Particularly, great advancements have been achieved in the treatment of intra-articular fractures, old fractures and dislocations, and infected open fractures. During the compilation of the second edition, we have supplemented and adjusted the content of the original edition, striving to incorporate more mature clinical application results into the teaching materials. Based on the original framework of the textbook, we have enhanced its advanced practicality. In terms of content, based on feedback from various teaching and clinical units, we have added content on pediatric epiphyseal injuries and provided a focused supplement and revision on fracture fixation. Some text in certain chapters has been revised to better suit teaching and clinical needs. This book can be used as a textbook for undergraduate students majoring in Orthopedics, as well as a reference for grassroots clinical orthopedic doctors. Due to space limitations, some detailed technical operation details and procedures could not be included. Readers may refer to relevant specialized books.
