Author: Shanghai Municipal Commission for Construction and Transportation (Editor-in-Chief)
Publisher: China Planning Press
Publication Date: Not Available
Features: This code was formulated according to the "Notice on Issuing the 'Plan for the Formulation and Revision of National Engineering Construction Standards for the 2002–2003 Annual Plan'" (Jianbiao [2003] 102) by the Ministry of Construction, and is edited by the Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute. The revision was carried out in collaboration with the Beijing Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, the North China Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, the Northeast China Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, the Northwest China Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, the Central China Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, the Southwest China Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, the Hangzhou Urban Planning and Design Research Institute, Tongji University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Guangzhou University, and Chongqing University. During the preparation of this code, design experiences in water supply engineering in recent years were summarized, discussions were conducted on major issues, a draft for comments was proposed, and opinions were widely solicited from experts, scholars, and designers from design, research, and university institutions across the country. After careful study and analysis by the drafting group, the code was formulated. The main technical contents of this revised code include: ① supplementing the purpose of the code to reflect the implementation of national laws and regulations; ② adding content related to the system design of water supply engineering; ③ adding content on pretreatment, ozone water purification, activated carbon adsorption, and water quality stabilization; ④ adding content on sludge water treatment in water treatment plants; ⑤ adding content on testing and control; ⑥ incorporating the main technical requirements of recommended standards for grid flocculation, air-water backwashing, fluorine-containing water treatment, and low-temperature, low-turbidity water treatment into this code; ⑦ removing content related to suspended clarification tanks, perforated swirl flocculation tanks, and mobile flushing hood filters; ⑧ adjusting the design indicators and parameters of various water treatment structures in line with improved water quality; ⑨ supplementing and revising the hydraulic calculation formulas for pipelines. In this code, provisions marked in bold are mandatory and must be strictly implemented.
