Features: This standard specifies the requirements and methods for on-site withstand voltage and insulation tests for gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear (hereinafter referred to as GIS) installed indoors and outdoors with rated voltage of 72.5kV or higher and frequency of 50Hz. Equipment with rated voltage below 72.5kV may refer to this standard. This standard applies to gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear that uses gas as the insulating medium in whole or part. New installations, expansions, and disassembly and overhauls of GIS shall all be tested in accordance with this standard. SF6 used alone may refer to this standard for implementation.
