Features: This book selects and collects approximately 218 poems from about 91 poets of the Han, Wei, Six Dynasties periods. They are generally arranged in the order of the "Poetry of Pre-Qin, Han, Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties" compiled by Lu Qinli. On the principle of one poem per appreciation article, several works are also discussed together. The book uses simplified characters, with occasional use of traditional characters or variant characters when ambiguity arises. Difficult words or sentences in the poems are generally explained in the appreciation articles, with occasional annotations added at the end. Historical dates related to ancient history are generally presented in the old calendar system, with corresponding Common Era dates included in parentheses. The "year" is usually omitted in the Common Era dates in parentheses.
