Features: To meet the needs of high school teachers, curriculum developers at various levels, and other education workers for the implementation and promotion of the new curriculum, this issue focuses on a series of problems that arise during the implementation of the new curriculum, with particular emphasis on addressing teaching and evaluation issues based on modules. It analyzes the teaching objectives, content, and various textbooks that have already been published for each subject, provides specific and in-depth interpretations of the curriculum standards for each subject through actual lesson examples and practices, and explores how to evaluate students' module academic performance through diverse methods, offering typical evaluation plans and tools. The content of this issue reflects both some new research findings from professional researchers and the experiences of frontline teachers in curriculum implementation. By providing successful case studies, it offers concrete references and guidance for high school teachers and grassroots education workers. This issue is compiled in subject-specific volumes, including nine subjects such as Ideological and Political Education, Chinese, Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, and Biology. The main content of each volume is divided into two parts: the first part discusses teaching issues, and the second part focuses on academic performance evaluation. The teaching section emphasizes a thorough understanding of the teaching of the subject, including the following key contents: grasping the curriculum standards of the subject, analyzing the teaching content of the subject, the impact of module-based course structures on teaching, teaching and learning strategies based on modules, including specific implementation and case studies. The evaluation section delves into the understanding of evaluation concepts in the new curriculum, specifically proposing process-based and summative evaluation methods, approaches, and tools for the learning content of each subject, including test papers and forms that have been tried in some experimental schools, as well as the methods experimental schools use to recognize module academic performance.

The lead editors of each subject are university teachers who directly participated in the research projects "Research on High School Student Academic Performance Evaluation under the New Curriculum" and "Guangdong Province Basic Education Curriculum Reform Research" funded by the Ministry of Education and the Guangdong Provincial Education Science "15th Five-Year Plan," respectively. The teaching and evaluation cases provided have been tried and are relatively successful.
4. Systematicity. The content covers major high school subjects, with authors sharing a consistent teaching guidance philosophy and evaluation concepts, ensuring coordination and mutual reinforcement. Not only does it provide reference value for teaching and evaluation activities in each subject, but it also offers a great platform for organizing cross-disciplinary teaching and evaluation research involving teachers from different subjects at the school level.
This series is a research outcome of the Ministry of Education's "Research on High School Student Academic Performance Evaluation under the New Curriculum" and the Guangdong Provincial Education Science "15th Five-Year Plan" key project "Guangdong Province Basic Education Curriculum Reform Research."
