Features: Reading ability holds a significant position in English skills and is also a key language application ability assessed in most English tests. Therefore, how to better improve reading ability and reading proficiency has become an ongoing topic of reflection and practice for English learners and educators. The new English curriculum standards have also raised updated and higher requirements for reading ability. Traditional English teaching in China has always emphasized the cultivation of students' reading skills. The "Compass English" published by Anhui Science and Technology Press is a very good series of English reading skill training books. This series is written by experienced English teaching experts from abroad, specifically for English learners in Asian countries. The books feature carefully selected materials, a wide variety of genres and themes, authentic language, scientifically designed exercises, and moderate difficulty levels. Compared to many other English reading training books I have seen, the quality of this series is outstanding. It is believed to be highly beneficial as a supplementary tool for English reading instruction in primary and secondary schools in China.
