Features: English is a foreign language for the Chinese, and it is an important tool for communication and interaction among people in the global village today and in the future. In recent years, with China's entry into the WTO and the successful bid for the Olympic Games, the promotion and popularization of foreign languages will be further accelerated, especially with the trend of younger age groups becoming more involved in learning. Language experts and child psychologists both domestically and internationally agree that learning a foreign language should start from a young age. Children have significant advantages in language learning, such as strong imitation skills and mechanical memory; their pronunciation systems are not yet fixed, making it easier to develop pure pronunciation and intonation; and their curiosity encourages them to be more willing and daring to use and practice the foreign language they have learned. At the same time, learning two languages as a child also helps to enhance the flexibility of their thinking, increase learning interest, and uncover learning potential, which is more beneficial for the comprehensive development of children's intelligence. The key to children learning a foreign language lies in having good teaching materials, teaching methods, and good teachers. We have attempted to introduce advanced educational concepts from abroad, combining China's national conditions and practical realities in children's English education to compile this "Cambridge Young Learners English" learning textbook. It provides a comprehensive, systematic, scientific, and standardized learning method for children's English education, striving for unity among teaching and learning, learning and assessment, and assessment and application. This series of textbooks includes "Cambridge Young Learners English," which corresponds to the Level 3 exam and connects with the Cambridge English Qualifications (Five Levels) assessment. Based on the actual needs and requirements of China's children's English education, we have also compiled "Cambridge Young Learners English Starter" and "Cambridge Young Learners English: An Introduction," which serve as introductory materials for "Cambridge Young Learners English" and can also be used as for children's English learning. Accompanying the textbooks are teaching resources, teaching aids, and teaching tools: published in multiple formats such as books, CDs, VCDs, and CD-ROMs, with internet-based remote teaching support, this is a multimedia and three-dimensional children's English textbook.
