Publish Date: 2005-10-01
Features: The third volume of German is a teaching material developed based on the Teaching Syllabus for College German, suitable for students of science, engineering, and humanities (non-German major) in higher education institutions, as well as for self-learners. The textbook is rich in content, with many passages reflecting recent scientific and technological achievements, covering aspects such as science and technology, transportation, ecological environment, medical health, economy, labor, customs, and leisure life. The diversity of themes and genres is also one of the features of this textbook. Like the first and second volumes of German, this textbook includes supplementary texts (TextB) corresponding to the main texts (TextA) after each lesson. The textbook is estimated to require about 70 class hours. If class hours are limited, TextB can be assigned for self-study. Each lesson of the textbook is accompanied by listening materials, listening exercises, and various types of text exercises. Therefore, it has a comprehensive feature of providing basic skill training, developing listening and reading abilities, and expanding vocabulary. Considering that students generally complain about the scarcity of listening materials, this book also includes 17 additional listening texts (H?rtext) at the end of each lesson, recorded by German experts. After listening, students can continue with listening exercises, which is beneficial for improving their listening comprehension skills. With the increasing difficulty of the National College German Proficiency Test Level 4, this book has also added vocabulary and grammar multiple-choice questions to further enhance the pass rate.
