Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-centered, virtue-based education" and has developed a distinctive approach to nurturing students that emphasizes both "comprehensive development and special talents." It has pioneered a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, striving for excellence, embracing diversity, and pursuing innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural outcome of its long-term implementation of quality education and only one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements. When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What ability does it have to turn sand into a tower? What skill does it have to turn ordinary into extraordinary? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the of the college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully understand the intentions of test-setters and deeply grasp the underlying principles, making it a leader rather than a blind follower. While Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems, it strongly advocates for students to break free from it. It opposes students from doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and monotonous exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to engage in flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the problem-solving process. If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while cultivating and nurturing a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and abundant teaching achievements. To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of three series of books by frontline core teachers: "Huanggang High School Homework Series," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Materials." The "Huanggang High School Homework Series" is based on the "Teaching Syllabus" and "Exam Syllabus," highlighting the role of "homework" in the process of students developing learning abilities, problem-solving skills, and exam-taking abilities. It reflects the inevitable connection between Huanggang High School students' brilliant performance in various exams and their rigorous daily practice. This series has been meticulously designed in its format, featuring four major sections—pre-class warm-up, in-class exercises, after-class exercises, and middle/high school exam online—to reinforce training and improve abilities. It also has the following features: 1. Appropriate exercise positioning: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on consolidating and progressively enhancing the key points, question types, and methods related to each knowledge point. The positioning of the series is to help students elevate their problem-solving skills through progressive exercises in ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive formats. 2. Moderate difficulty gradient: The ratio of basic, intermediate, and difficult questions in this series is 6:3:1, making it suitable for the use of the vast majority of middle schools. Most questions are labeled with A, B, or C to indicate their difficulty levels, ensuring appropriate and clear requirements. 3. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more thorough explanations provided for difficult questions. It is particularly worth mentioning that the timely and insightful hints often play a pivotal role. This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the authors' exercises, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
