Features: Strictly speaking, before reading The History of Haier, I had never read any books about corporate history. An important reason for this is that corporate history is not an easy subject to write about, as Guo Shu once said: "Until now, I haven’t had the time or inclination to reflect on my 35 years in business, nor the patience to sit and write a book for a long time." However, it is said that someone has already started compiling China’s "corporate history," and a China Corporate History Research Association has even been established. In this "corporate history," we have the opportunity to extensively use a new term: "Decade of Rejuvenation." The birth of this term is more of a coincidental discovery by the author than a result of his research. While conducting extensive research on the background of the global home appliance and manufacturing industries for this book, the author stumbled upon an interesting fact—the majority of manufacturers with over 20 years of history have gone through a continuous "Decade of Rejuvenation." The author had a chance encounter with the renowned Chinese entrepreneur Mr. Liu Chuanzhi, who believed that such a "rejuvenation" process indeed exists within companies, though he was uncertain whether it occurs on a decade-long cycle.
