Features: Traditional Chinese thought and culture is an extremely vast field. The ancient civilization it embodies and how it connects with modern natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities has attracted the attention and concern of scholars both in China and around the world. Since the reform and opening-up, many scholars have liberated their minds and made pioneering efforts, conducting truly scientific and independent research from the perspective of contemporary academic development, achieving fruitful results. The National Plan Group for the Collection, Arrangement, and Publication of Ancient Books has always attached importance to the combination of the arrangement and publication of ancient books (including unearthed artifacts) with systematic research on traditional culture. It advocates closely linking the precise achievements of research and arrangement with modernization efforts, ensuring that the inheritance and promotion of outstanding traditional Chinese thought and culture have both a scientific foundation and a clear direction. For this reason, the preface to the "Ten-Year Plan for the Collection, Arrangement, and Publication of Ancient Books and the Eight-Five Plan" formulated in 1992 emphasized: "In the next ten years, it is important to arrange for the timely publication of academic monographs that modern scholars have produced on ancient books with significant achievements, and to promote the trend of modern scholars applying modern scientific spirit to the study of ancient Chinese books, with the aim of making the past serve the present." To help traditional culture research monographs be published smoothly and to encourage the spirit of academic innovation, as well as to promote a rigorous and realistic academic style, the National Plan Group for the Collection, Arrangement, and Publication of Ancient Books specially commissioned its Academic Committee to organize the publication of the "Series of Studies on Traditional Chinese Culture." This series is published annually, with each volume containing ten titles, and a portion of the funds provided by the state is allocated as financial support for publication.
