Features: History has always been one of the important foundational disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, and it has also undergone significant development in the 20th century. Therefore, it is essential to focus on understanding and exploring the new developments in the field of history. This journal is dedicated to this very focus, while also encompassing other related disciplines and addressing new changes and the exploration of cutting-edge issues. It aims to keep up-to-date with the new developments in foreign historiography, particularly in the realm of theoretical and methodological advancements, while also integrating the realities of Chinese historiography to strengthen dialogue between Chinese and international historiography. Based on historiography, the journal undertakes interdisciplinary and cross-cultural comprehensive research. Each issue features a specific theme, inviting experts and scholars from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds to engage in multi-dimensional, multi-level, and more comprehensive discussions to elucidate the uncommon within the common. Our long-term plan is to systematically study major issues in the course of human civilization, compile relevant classic readings and bibliographic indexes, and provide convenient conditions for future research. Such themes include "History and Memory," "Intellectual History," "Disaster History," "Environmental History," "Oral History," "The Renaissance," "Science History," "Historicism," "Romanticism," and so on; while figures include Herodotus, Thucydides, Humboldt, Ranke, Herder, Burckhardt, Droysen, Toynbee, Jaspers, Braudel, Meinecke, and others. Their works represent the highest level of historical writing from their respective eras.
