In 1938, he worked as the chief writer for Chongqing's Xin Min Bao. In 1946, he became the chief editor of Shanghai's Xin Min Wan Bao and wrote column essays for the Ren Shi Jian magazine. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as the chief editor and president of Shanghai's Xin Min Wan Bao, penning columns such as Su Yi and Wei Wan Tan under the pen name "Lin Fang." In the face of hardships and trials during various political movements, he always maintained the conscience and responsibility of a journalist, exposing evil and praising the light. With his powerful pen, his writing was sharp and enduring, each article a timeless warning and masterpiece.
