Features: 17 dialogues, 10 of which were previously published, and 7 were added later. Among the 10 published dialogues, most have received positive responses, with over half being adapted into news reports by newspapers, included in the authoritative China Film Annual, or awarded in national literary and artistic competitions. To compile these 17 dialogues into a book, during the second round of review and editing, only obvious errors in text and punctuation were slightly corrected, while the rest remained unchanged to preserve the original manuscript as much as possible. Additionally, for better readability and clarity, the section numbering of some dialogues was replaced with new subheadings. One dialogue on the lack of literary criticism and another on the of ancient-themed TV dramas, although covering film, were not directly approached from a cinematic perspective, so they were moved to the last two chapters of this book.
