Features: The academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering are the highest academic titles established by the state in the fields of science and technology and engineering. They hold and academic authority. Over the course of half a century of the People's Republic, this outstanding group of scientists has achieved remarkable accomplishments that have garnered worldwide attention! For this reason, colleagues in the publishing and press industry have spared no effort over the past decades to report and describe their patriotic spirit, national aspirations, and dedication to science. However, at the turn of the century, facing the dazzling achievements of modern science and technology, we deeply feel that the publishing industry still has an important task to fulfill—no longer limiting itself to promoting the spiritual qualities of scientists but instead delving deeper to examine the thinking characteristics and intellectual power that enabled outstanding Chinese scientists to achieve their remarkable accomplishments. It is time to bring the thinking methods—the source of the scientists' wisdom for innovation and creativity—out of the shadows. Thus, the idea of "Academicians' Thinking," a topic proposal rooted in a new perspective, was born.
