Later, he abandoned the path of officialdom and strictly adhered to the moral standards of a Ming loyalist. He devoted himself to teaching and writing, spending his later years in his hometown. This book is a collection of essays by a Qing scholar, Zhang Lixiang, a renowned Confucian scholar in the early Qing period.
