Features: In China, history serves as the voice of the times, the public opinion of society, and the judge of life. Our ancestors and sages, inspired by the spirit of the era, regarded "exploring the unknown, connecting the past and present, and forming a unique perspective" as the aspiration of historians. It seems that among all the vast matters, only "history" is paramount. Even in the modern era of disciplinary specialization, the grand edifice of history has been divided into many sub-disciplines, but as the foundation of modern humanities and social sciences, history still holds an unshakable position. History is a discipline that requires talent, yet it is also a field that demands a certain kind of foolishness—such as sitting on a cold bench. However, people who possess both talent and foolishness are rare in this world. The articles we publish may indeed strive to demonstrate a touch of talent in some aspects; but we are not afraid to bravely offer a bit of foolishness in others.
