Does varicocele on the left side affect fertility?

Patient's question:

Varicocele is caused by sexual intercourse, I feel extremely guilty about this and am almost crazy. Could a teacher demonstrate this for me? Does left varicocele affect fertility?

Doctor's answer:

1. Varicocele causes blood stasis and reduced blood flow in the testicular parenchyma, leading to a decrease in the nutrients required for sperm growth and development, which affects sperm development. Up to 30% to 40% of male infertility cases are due to varicocele.
2. It is recommended to seek treatment and undergo a thorough examination at a local Grade III-A or higher hospital. This condition is not always curable through surgery. For younger individuals who have not yet married and exhibit symptoms, using an orchidopexy belt can alleviate scrotal symptoms, which may disappear after marriage. In cases with more severe symptoms, high ligation of the internal spermatic vein can be performed.
