Features: A chronicle biography is a personal annalistic biography. The general index records not only those titled as chronicles but also any works compiled according to the chronicle format, regardless of titles such as chronological records, annals, brief accounts, or dated chronicles. Works on chronological compilation, though distinct from chronicles, are also included for reference. Chronicles may be published as standalone works, included in series, appended to collections, or published in periodicals. Some are even in manuscript or copied forms. This general index comprehensively collects all types of chronicles. The compilers personally examined most of the included chronicles, with some checked by friends. Works listed only by reference without original access are categorized as "Chronicles to Be Searched." This general index comprises 4,450 chronicles, reflecting 2,396 individuals, with 645 reference books or articles appended. The recording of chronicles generally follows the original titles of the works. However, for overly simplistic or lengthy titles that are not immediately clear, the redundant parts are omitted for ease of use, while the original principles are retained in annotations for further reference. The arrangement of the index follows the chronological order of the individuals' birth years. For chronicles compiled by multiple editors, the order is based on the chronological era of the compilers.
