Features: After consultation between the Research Center for Criminal Law Science of Renmin University of China and the China University of Public Security Press, it was decided that the Research Center for Criminal Law Science of Renmin University of China would organize the writing of New Trends in Criminal Law, to be published continuously in an annual format. Each volume comprehensively, systematically, and meticulously summarizes and organizes the research achievements in criminal law of the year. New Trends in Criminal Law is advised by Professor Zhao Bingzhi (President of the Criminal Law Research Society of the Chinese Law Society and Director of the Research Center for Criminal Law Science of Renmin University of China) and edited by Liu Zhiwei, Ph.D. (Researcher of the Research Center for Criminal Law Science of Renmin University of China). New Trends in Criminal Law (Volume 1 · 2004 Volume) comprehensively, systematically, and meticulously summarizes and organizes the research achievements on 48 aspects based on more than 2,300 criminal law papers published and more than 200 criminal law books published in 2004. In this book, we strive to summarize and reflect the new developments of each topic in the research of 2004. At the same time, we also take into account some research achievements that may not be innovative, but in order to provide new research materials for criminal law researchers and learners, we appropriately introduce such research achievements in this book.
