Features: This manual is based on the teaching (syllabus) for novel Chinese language teaching in nine-year compulsory education. It is compiled in the order of the new national unified teaching materials for six-year primary school Chinese language courses, including approximately 1,500 vocabulary entries. These words are divided into two categories:
1. Words prescribed by the teaching materials for oral and written sentence construction. In this category, the teaching materials arrange for repeated occurrences to deepen primary school students' impression of certain common words, with different requirements for different grades, which we have preserved entirely.
2. Words compiled from the teaching materials. The compilation principle is to include words frequently used in oral or written communication, making it easier to enrich students' vocabulary.
The manual is organized by lesson, making it convenient for students to use. Additionally, a phonetic index is provided to facilitate quick searches. Moreover, even if the teaching materials are revised in the future, students can still use the phonetic index to locate entries.
Each entry generally includes the following content:
1. Original Text: Quotations from the textbook to guide students in learning words and understanding their role in the context of language.
2. Definitions: Noting the part of speech; explaining the meaning of the word; listing different meanings separately with corresponding example sentences; indicating the meaning of the word in the current lesson.
3. Sentence Construction: Each word is used to create 5 sentences based on different usages and themes, expanding students' knowledge and helping them understand the application scope and usage habits of the words.
4. Synonyms: Listing words similar to the target word to help students accumulate vocabulary, express their thoughts accurately, and enrich their language skills. Synonyms are generally accompanied by brief distinctions to help students grasp the differences and subtle nuances between them, achieving accurate word usage.
In summary, this manual is standardized, practical, multifunctional, and helps students master words, enrich their vocabulary, and achieve correct word usage.
