Patient's question:
One year and seven months. Male baby with medulloblastoma, now experiencing vomiting, right arm and leg weakness, eating very little, and today the urine appears very cloudy. Under these conditions, how long can the child live?Doctor's answer:
Medulloblastoma is the most malignant glioma within the brain. The 5-year survival rate for pediatric medulloblastoma is 50% to 60%. Chemotherapy during and after radiotherapy can improve survival rates, but they still remain below 50%. They can be local, single metastatic, or diffuse. The prognosis for these recurrences is very severe. Partial or complete resolution can often be achieved through rechemotherapy, but this is usually rare. It is recommended to seek medical treatment at a better hospital, as all the better hospitals are excellent.
