Features: This book was originally written for teaching purposes, and its chapter arrangement is largely based on the "Teaching Syllabus," with some modifications made according to my own judgment, though not too many. Its long-term use in teaching has also proven that it is still relatively suitable for the needs of university textbooks. For this reason, this revision only adds and modifies the shortcomings and unsuitability of the original manuscript, without making significant changes, in the hope that it can still be adopted by universities for liberal arts after publication. For the same reason, while I generally advocate for absorbing new achievements in classical literature research over the past two decades, I limit myself to those widely recognized by the majority of scholars. Those that have not yet gained widespread recognition today are left as in the original, to avoid confusing readers.
