Chapter "Ancient to the Tang Dynasty Period" narrates the ancient musical civilization created by the ancestors of the Naxi people during their hunting, migration, and integration processes. For the first time in history, it systematically organizes and explains the developmental context of the musical culture of the Naxi ancestors from ancient times to the Tang Dynasty. Chapter "Nanzhou Rule Period" describes the general development of musical culture in the Naxi region under the rule of the Nanzhou regime. It elaborates on the historical exchanges of musical culture between "Moxie" and the Nanzhou, Tang Dynasty, and Tibetan dynasties, and provides a relatively comprehensive account of the causes and development process of the "pluralistic coexisting musical cultural pattern" of the Naxi during this period. Chapter "Tribal Chief Strife Period" narrates the historical progression of musical culture in the Naxi region during the relatively independent and strife-torn period of tribal chiefs within the Dali Kingdom. It elaborates in detail on the musical cultural forms closely related to human origins, tribal wars, disaster avoidance, sorcery, divination, and natural and supernatural worship. Chapter "Mu Family Governance Period" describes the historical development of musical culture in the Naxi region during the nearly 500 years of rule by the Mu family. During this period, with the arrival of the Yuan Dynasty army and the comprehensive introduction of Han and Tibetan culture, the traditional musical cultural forms in the Naxi region underwent significant changes, giving rise to numerous new musical cultural forms such as Boshixili, Confucian ceremonial music, and Dongjing music. Chapter "Tribal Chiefs Abolished and Integrated Period" narrates the historical trajectory of musical culture in the Naxi region since the abolition of tribal chiefs and integration. It focuses on the prosperity of Dongjing music in the Naxi region after the popularization of Han culture, the emergence and development of "Dada" music, and the transformation of funeral ceremonial music, among a series of major historical and cultural phenomena. Chapter "Democratic Revolution Period" describes the historical evolution of the gradual decline of traditional ceremonial music culture in the Naxi region and the gradual introduction and popularization of emerging musical cultural forms. Chapter "Socio-Cultural Period" systematically narrates the historical development of musical culture in the Naxi region after the establishment of the People's Republic of China. The author, using substantial materials and extensively incorporating the latest research findings from disciplines such as music, history, ethnology, archaeology, and linguistics in recent years, comprehensively discusses the developmental context of the musical history of the Naxi people.
