Features: This book covers three aspects: comprador bourgeoisie, national bourgeoisie, and revolutionary movement participants as well as workers. Among these, the first two are subjects with whom the author had direct contact and familiarity, allowing for a more authentic observation of them and their actions. The latter, however, is based solely on "second-hand" materials, such as accounts from those directly involved or from third parties. This source of the material makes the depiction of the comprador bourgeoisie and national bourgeoisie more vivid and realistic, while the portrayal of revolutionary movement participants and workers is significantly weaker. As for the development of rural revolutionary forces, even "second-hand" materials were scarce, and I was unwilling to fabricate the story from scratch. As a result, I decided not to write about it. This is why I call this book "hemiplegic."
