Features: Vegetable production in southern China plays a significant role in the nation's vegetable production and supply. It covers a large area, offers a wide variety of vegetables, and provides year-round production and supply, with a total supply volume unmatched by other regions. Particularly in southern areas, leveraging geographical and climatic advantages, early spring and autumn-winter vegetable production has been developed, with products distributed nationwide. This has played a crucial role in enhancing variety diversity, balancing supply and demand, and ensuring stable supply. Vegetable cultivation in southern China also exhibits distinct regional characteristics. The region is vast, with complex geographical and natural conditions, abundant vegetable resources, diverse species, long production seasons, varied cultivation methods, and high replanting frequencies. The selection and cultivation management of vegetables vary significantly between regions. To meet the urgent needs of vegetable farmers in southern China, promote scientific knowledge, and improve the level of scientific vegetable cultivation, it is proposed to the Agricultural Press to organize the publication of the "Southern Vegetable Cultivation Technology Guide" series.
