Features: Accounting is an economic information system primarily designed to provide financial information. It conveys financial information such as a company's financial condition, operating performance, and cash flow to external and internal information users through financial reports, aiming to help them make their own economic decisions. With China's entry into the WTO and the growing development of a socialist market economy, accounting, as an internationally recognized "language of business," holds significant importance for protecting investor interests, improving management efficiency, and enabling macroeconomic regulation by the government. I anticipate that once the quality of China's accounting information has significantly improved, the image of accounting work has been transformed, and accounting integrity is widely recognized by society, the role of accounting information will be more fully realized. Of course, this will undoubtedly be a long process requiring substantial efforts from all parties.
The cultivation of Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs in China has been ongoing for over a decade. From 1991, when a few universities enrolled fewer than 100 students in the first batch of MBA programs, to the present, with more than 60 higher education institutions offering MBA programs nationwide, this reflects the adaptation of China's higher education in management to the practical needs of talent in the market economy and the development of economic globalization. It also highlights the backdrop of significant transformation and transitional changes in China's economy, society, and education. Currently, in addition to the formal academic MBA programs offered in universities, there are also business management education programs in society that focus primarily on skill training. The rapid rise of MBA education in China is, overall, a result of the sharp increase in demand for practical business talents due to the swift transition from a planned economy to a market economy. It also mirrors China's continuous opening-up, the adoption of more international practices in economic activities, and the gradual internationalization of management education. Despite this, the current scale of China's existing MBA programs is far from meeting the needs of its economic development.
