Ancient Greeks and Their World - A Journey of Discovery

Author: (French) Pierre Bruleau Translator: Wang Meihua France/France

Publish Date: 2006-09-01
Features: Everything flows, nothing remains constant. The world of ancient Greece—its myths, love, family, war, and democracy—like Heraclitus' river, has long flowed away. To this day, ancient Greece still captivates us, and the pursuit and longing for her never cease. Some say that ancient Greek civilization laid the foundation for almost every aspect of modern civilization; others argue that the prosperity of modern civilization extends the life of ancient Greece, achieving her brilliance. But all this differs greatly from the author's perspective. "If, like us, you feel after reading this book that ancient Greece is more exotic than you imagined, then it is worth it!"
